The History of Bethel Original Freewill Baptist Church | ||
---|---|---|
The Lord gave this great man of God a vision of which he first communicated to others, then enacted on it by stepping “outside of the box” and did things that symbolized the vision. The church’s first location, 590 Fraser Street, SE., Atlanta, Georgia, was a one room mission that opened its doors to the public, as the House of God Freewill Baptist Mission. Working by his side was a devoted and dedicated wife and woman of God, Elect Lady Mother Velma L. Speakman, who is still diligently working in the ministry. The Speakman's and their children were the first members of the church: Sheneece Speakman Poe, Vincent Speakman, The late Vernon Speakman, and our Presiding Pastor, Victor C. Speakman
