Bethel Original Freewill Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia is led by Pastor Victor C. Speakman with Lady LaShanta Speakman standing beside him as God leads and directs their paths, knowing that their strength lies not only in the words they stand by, but most importantly through the actions of their initiatives. Working together with our community we believe that we can overcome our challenges much more efficiently as we follow in the steps ordered by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The role of the church in the community is critical to the modern and millennial believers. The church only can fill that void or emptiness. Bethel reaches out to the community by hosting Health and Wellness Fairs, providing for those in need through our mission, outreach ministries, group prayer, Young People's Christian League (YPCL), Christian Education, Youth Enrichment Program (YEP), and support our neighborhood school by providing food for students and families who may not have food when they depart for home on the weekends and not again until they return to school on Mondays. "Your church is there for the community. The community is not there for your church."
